This is about the attack on the United States
..and there are good reasons for not writing this at all
..and very few reasons to write it.
For one thing it is not my place to say anything.
Second i really don't have anything to say, i'm in as much
shock as all of you.
i don't have any answers. And this isn't a news site.
The reasons in favor of writing this are:
To help Sir Red, we all feel obligated to stand up and say
something, and i know he's got to be at a loss for words.
To remind everyone that life doesn't come with instructions.
We live life day to day doing the best that we can, making mistakes and
learning from them so that the next time we know not to do that again.
To help Sir Red, we all feel obligated to stand up and say something.
i read his post for NYBound, and i know he's as lost as all
of us are. We all want this to just go away. It may have been different
points that we saw on TV that told us that life in this world will never be
the same again. For me it was that shot of the second plane foreshortened
as it lined up for it's deadly collision with the second tower.
To a degree they have won already. They haven't overcome us,
but they have stolen our innocence. We now know that there are people in
the world who are dirty and mean enough to do something like that - even if
it means giving up their own lives to do it. They make me sick. Ok, point
taken. You terrorists are that miserable. i never would have guessed that
you terrorists were that despicable. i admit it, i was wrong.
i guess the reason they did that is because they think they
have the only God in town. Well, despite the fact that this isn't a news
site, i have a news flash for you terrorists: the God i follow is good. He
is as appalled as all of us that you thought that your God required the
killing of innocent lives. i pity you terrorists for your beliefs.
To remind everyone that life doesn't come with instructions. We live
life day to day doing the best that we can, making mistakes and learning from
them so that the next time we know not to do that again.
Killing others isn't such a sharp thing to do, killing
yourself kinda cuts the learning curve a bit short. We can't tell if you
learned anything in the final seconds of your miserable terrorist lives.
Maybe you had a revelation, a revelation that most of us take for granted;
that it's not right to kill the defenseless, the trusting, the unaware, the
innocent. i hope that the terrorists in those planes learned at least that
much, otherwise their lives were as big a waste as we all think they were.
i write this not because i am an expert on international terrorists, or
social injustice, or any of that.
i guess i am writing this to begin to heal myself.
Enough about me, let me address this last thought to you the terrorists - i
mean you dead terrorists...
Will God, the God i follow, forgive you? Perhaps, i don't know why, other
than He is good, and i guess you terrorists were innocent, in that you must
not have known the wrong that you did. i am still innocent enough to believe
that much.
The lesson here is that no one is over another
- unless that person allows you to be over them.
Bondage teaches us that...
